Samuel Lo is a multiracial artist who engages with the complex aspects of multicultural and multiracial identities to translate their representation and visibility to diverse audiences. Lo received a BFA magna cum laude in Photography and Film with a minor in Art History from Virginia Commonwealth University and is currently a MFA candidate at The Ohio State University. Lo experiments with the mediums of photography and collage, and various installation methods to explore the possibilities of expanding understandings of identity. Lo has exhibited in several group exhibitions including selected group exhibitions at Candela Gallery (Richmond, VA) and The Anderson (Richmond, VA). Lo was awarded the VCUarts Dean's International Research Grant in 2019.
